All India Karate Do Federation headed by Chief Patron Mr. Karthi P. Chidambaram, President Mr. Karate R. Thiagarajan, General Secretary Mr. Bharat Sharma and Treasurer Mr. Althaf Alam is the only Recognized National Karate Federation by Indian Olympic Association, Govt. of India (Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs), World Karate Federation and Asian Karate Do Federation. All India Karate Do Federation having a strength of 32 State members, 5 Para Military Forces Members like CRPF, Assam Rifles, ITBP, Tamilnadu Police, Haryana Police and Punjab Police. AIKF is purely in the promotion of the tremendous Martial Art Karate Do Sport in India. All respective WKF styles like Shotokan, Shito Ryu, Goju Ryu, Wado Ryu and other JKF approved are the members of AIKF. Players under the banners of AIKF are taking part in various International Championships like WKF, AKF, Youth Cup, Commonwealth Karate Championship, Asian Games, South Asian Games and have started winning medals. Federation is providing training facility by inviting coaches from Iran, Macau, Spain and Referees from WKF to train Indian Karatekas.

Since 1978 AIKF is working for the promotion of Karate Do Sports with WKF recognized four major Karate styles like Shotokan, Gojo-Ryu, Shito-Ryu , Wado-Ryu in all parts of India. All India Karate Do Federation has strength of 32 States, 04 Para Military Forces and 125 Style Representative Members. More than 2 million Karatekas are practicing Karate Martial Art under the banner of AIKF in India. Just in a 3 years of span President Sensei Karate R. Thiagarajan not only boost up the standard and moral of Indian Karate with his contribution but have also honor the country by producing champion players at International arena and produced 03 WKF & 20 AKF qualified Referee/Judges. Like other Martial Sports Judo, Taekwondo and Wu-Shu, the Karate Do sport is also recognized by Indian Olympic Association and Govt. of India and is a medal sport of National, South Asian and Asian Games.
